Our school is set in a stunning location overlooking the Holy Loch, with the Argyll forest also in close proximity. In addition, our school grounds are extensive with diverse areas of grass, bog, shrub and semi-woodland for our children to enjoy. One of our major aims going forward is to further enhance the outdoor learning experiences of our children by utilising our fantastic environment at Sandbank.
We have recently revisited our school vision, values and aims and these will now provide the foundation for creating a shared ethos and culture across our whole school community. Regular assemblies, open days and other school events have been planned for the year ahead in order to embed all of this work.
We have high expectations of all our children and over the next year there will be an increased focus on our children leading learning via a range of exciting and motivating experiences. Much of our work at Sandbank will come through our newly formed community groups, which involve all staff, pupils, parents and our wider community. These groups ensure everyone has a voice in relation to school issues and they underpin everything we aim to do in our school improvement agenda. We look forward to implementing our ideas over the next year and beyond.
