JMR opened by welcoming everyone to the meeting.

Update from the Chair
JMR said she was looking to restructure the CnP to SCIO as there is more protection for trustees. JMR said she was looking for a continuation for GME to secondary and beyond. JMR said there was a need for a united parental voice. VC asked would the funding from CnP continue. JMR responded that there would be a benefit to being an SCIO. (The links to the OSCR can be found in the agenda).
Treasurer’s Report and Financial Standing
HO said that the bank baance was £17.19. There was still 2024 MoD feed of £113 outstanding. The 2025 MoD feed have been paid. NMD was still owed £300 for the play scheme. The money in the account is from Bord na Gaidhlig. The next Bord na Gaidhlig grant is for the trip to Edinburgh. Karen Macdonald, the school secretary, needs funds to pay for the trip.
PTA Expectations and Annual Activities Review
Leavers party will be PTA funded.
S1 ties will be funded by the PTA
Future Fundraising Events
The possible reintroduction of a summer disco was discussed.
Communication and Visibility
Re-establish PTA newsletter. NMD was asked if he was open to the idea of a double-sided newsletter, one side PTA, the other CnP. NMD said it was a good idea, but the two entities were completely separate. JMR asked if it was possible to put out a flyer or an information board at the school? NMD said yes for the PTA but CnP needed to be separated. JMR asked if it was possible to open PTA to ELC parents. NMD said that would be possible. JMR said that in the new school nursery, it would be good to speak to the parents of the school nursery children.

AM asked if the lines could be reinstated in the parents’ car park. JMR said there would need to be investigation into the car park i.e. who had ownership.
AM said it had been brought to her attention that a pupil could not find either a sanitary bin nor any products to assist with periods in the girls’ toilets. NMD had checked and reported that there were both sanitary bins and period products in both blocks of the girls’ toilets. HO asked that awareness of these be mentioned at sex education lessons.
