Agenda and previous minutes shared with all attendees.

Head Teacher Update

ASN post filled by Mrs Keith.

PTA Constitution

Constitution has been reviewed, content as before, committee chair, secretary and treasurer to sign.

Head Teacher Recruitment

Committee congratulates Mr MacDonald on Head Teacher position.

School Grounds Letter

Proposed letter circulated to committee and school management addressing ongoing issues with school grounds.

CD - safeguarding issue with school grounds, not secure etc.

DS – School is tired, issue needs to be addressed and moved forward.

JMR – Acknowledges pathway issues, but is also mindful we don’t want to lose nature surrounding school and within school.

NM – would like to go through the proposed letter and will meet with IT, DS, AJ to discuss in 2 weeks time.

Future PTA Dates

Christmas Fair 23rd Nov, tombola, homemaking (include ingredients please if handing in donations)

Burns Social – IT and JMR taking forward

Spring Tea – P7’s

PTA dates tbc, late Feb/early March and late May

PTA Presents for Children

IT will organise a present for the children.  Selection box/chocolate santa etc

Any other business

AJ – Active Schools – sessions for all the children, if we can get volunteers for short blocks.  What would teachers/families like?  School management and committee agreed we would take this forward with parents to gauge interest for volunteers. (AJ is now preparing email/letter to families)

AJ – End of year school trip is usually Hunters Quay Holiday Village, can the trip be potentially somewhere different this coming year?  Committee agreed, yes, it could, will discuss in 2024.
