Rights Respecting School

We are a Unicef Rights Respecting School

RRS

The Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA) is awarded to schools who put children’s rights at the heart of everything they do. UNICEF works with schools to ensure that children have a safe, inspiring environment and that they are nurtured, respected and able to thrive.

Sandbank Primary have achieved their Bronze and Silver level award which means that we are committed to becoming a Rights Respecting School and we are working hard at gaining our Gold award for being rights aware.

In being a Rights Respecting School we give all of our young people the right to a safe, motivating and nurturing environment in which to learn.  We hope that this means Sandbank pupils will grow up to feel respected and be respectful, not only to all other people whatever their background, but also to the world in which we all live.
